FALL SUNDAY SCHOOL

Fall Sunday school includes the following options:

GOD CREATED A PEOPLE
This study of the book of Genesis traces the story of God's creative power from the creation of the universe, through himan creation, to the creation fo a covenant people. WHen the people were threatened with extinction, God preseved their lives and continued to bless them.

A CHRISTIAN VIEW OF HOSPITALITY: EXPECTING SURPRISES

Biblical hospitality, the call to love the stranger, guarantees that a surprise is just around the corner. The guest becomes the host. Givers receive more than they give. God is seen in the most unlikely people.

Children's Curriculum:
Gather ‘Round – Becoming a People of God

Nurturing children in becoming followers of Jesus: people who know and love God, interpret God’s word, belong to God’s gathered community, and share God’s good news. Stories from Exodus, Joshua and other Old Testament books.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Sunday mornings this summer we have an intergenerational praise and prayer time at 9:30 -- this is a blend of contemporary and traditional worship music plus some time for prayer. This is followed by coffee/tea/beverage of choice and conversation. Our 10:30 worship service includes more singing, often a special children's time, dynamic preaching (ok, who let the pastor edit this?) and communion on the first of each month. Expect to meet God and a bunch of folks doing their best to love God and show God's love to the world.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear whatever is comfortable for you. "Business casual" is a safe bet if you want to blend in, but blending in isn't always what it's cracked up to be!
